Sortie matinale - Morning walk

Flèche-Pirate-Excel-Toulouse-Kelvin
Excel-Kelvin

This morning, sunshine was bright and the morning walk was delightful.  The recall training and "woah" with the group helped the "newcomer".

St-Coeur-de-Marie

It is still very cold and windy but this doesn't keep us from working.  Excel fetches the dummy over more than 100 meters now - with great efficiency.  To see more pictures, please use the link below.

This was a wonderful day (-5oC).  Few members of the "Club du Chien Rapporteur du Saguenay Lac St-Jean" have scheduled a training day on the Ticouapé frozen river at my good friens's house Denis Fortin (flat coated retreiver breeder).  I went there with Émilie and Boomer (french spaniel).  This was their first experience and, I'm sure, not the last.  After realizing what we expected of him, Boomer wanted to retreive them all.  It has been a great deal for him as he learned to wait and concentration on the job, even if there was many dogs around.  Excel:  it was a real pleasure to see her fly to the dummy thrown 100 feet away.  She ended her training with a "double".  At dinner time, we had 13 dogs with us.  On the picture, there is 11 dogs (a Chesepeake Bay Retreiver and a Labrador are missing).  Just to get them stand still for the picture was a challenge.
