Il a fait une journée magnifique (-5oC) Quelques membres du Club du Chien Rapporteur du Saguenay Lac St-Jean (dont je fais partie) se sont réunis en cette belle journée pour entraîner au rapport sur la rivière gelée Ticouapé chez notre bon ami Denis Fortin (éleveur de "flat coated retreiver"). Je m'y suis rendue avec Émilie et Boomer (épagneul français). C'était leur première expérience et je suis certaine que ce n'est pas la dernière. Après avoir compris ce qu'on attendait de lui, Boomer s'est pris au jeu et voulait rapporter tout le temps. Un grand pas pour lui car il a appris la sagesse et la concentration, même s'il y a d'autres chiens autour. Quant à Excel, c'était un plaisir de la voir voler vers l'apportable lancé à 100 pieds. Elle a couronné le tout par un "double". Au plus fort de la journée, nous étions 13 chiens. Sur la photo de groupe, il y en a 11 (il manque un Chesepeake Bay Retreiver et un Labrador) Ce fut notre exploit de réussir à faire la photo!
This was a wonderful day (-5oC). Few members of the "Club du Chien Rapporteur du Saguenay Lac St-Jean" have scheduled a training day on the Ticouapé frozen river at my good friens's house Denis Fortin (flat coated retreiver breeder). I went there with Émilie and Boomer (french spaniel). This was their first experience and, I'm sure, not the last. After realizing what we expected of him, Boomer wanted to retreive them all. It has been a great deal for him as he learned to wait and concentration on the job, even if there was many dogs around. Excel: it was a real pleasure to see her fly to the dummy thrown 100 feet away. She ended her training with a "double". At dinner time, we had 13 dogs with us. On the picture, there is 11 dogs (a Chesepeake Bay Retreiver and a Labrador are missing). Just to get them stand still for the picture was a challenge.
